Muskham U10s were narrowly beaten by Lowdham Stripes U10s at Caythorpe this lunchtime. In a rare 12.30 kick off, the Cougars started well and created some good early pressure and openings.

Two sucker punches from Lowdham before half time had the Cougars behind at the break as the heavens opened and it looked like being a tough second half.

Cougars played well in the first portion of the second half shutting out a lot of Lowdham possession without creating a real chance. That changed as we pressed further later on, Henry unleashed a great strike into the far corner and we were bouyed by this and pressed on further. A few scrambles and late chances but unfortunately beaten by the clock as well as Lowdham in the end. Plenty of positive performances and collective grit and determination on show. We now have a break from league action until early November with a chance to build some patterns of play in training and the half term friendly matches.

Opposition selected Harry as man of the match for a typical all action display.
